⚖️ CRITICAL: Communications through Tyr are NOT protected by attorney-client privilege. Tyr is not a law firm, and no attorney-client relationship exists. Information you share with Tyr does not have the same legal protections as information shared with your attorney. Do not share information with Tyr that you would only share with a licensed attorney under privilege.

If your legal matter involves sensitive information that could be used against you in legal proceedings, consult a licensed attorney whose communications ARE privileged.

4. Sensitive Legal Information

4.1 Your Legal Queries

We understand that legal questions often involve sensitive personal matters. We implement the following protections:

Encryption in Transit: All queries transmitted via TLS/SSL (HTTPS)
Encryption at Rest: Stored queries encrypted using AES-256
Access Control: Access restricted to authorized systems necessary to provide the Service
No Privilege: Remember — your communications with Tyr are NOT privileged. If you need privileged communication, use a licensed attorney.

4.2 Document Handling

Uploaded documents are encrypted in transit and at rest
Documents are retained for no longer than 60 days after review delivery
You may request immediate deletion at any time
Documents are not shared with any third party

4.3 AI Processing

Your questions and documents are processed by AI systems to generate legal information. This processing occurs on secure servers. Your queries are not used to train models accessible to other users and are not visible to other users of the Service.

5.1 Attorney Referral Partners

We will NOT share your detailed legal questions, uploaded documents, or chat history with referral attorneys without your explicit consent.

9. Texas Data Privacy and Security Act

We comply with the Texas Data Privacy and Security Act. Texas residents may access, correct, delete, and obtain copies of their personal data.

10. Law Enforcement and Legal Process

We may disclose your information if required by valid legal process (subpoena, court order, search warrant). Because your communications with Tyr are NOT attorney-client privileged, they may be subject to discovery in legal proceedings. We will attempt to notify you of any legal request for your data unless prohibited by law.

11. Children's Privacy

The Service is not intended for individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect information from minors.

Analytics: Google Analytics (anonymized usage)

Control cookies through browser settings. We honor "Do Not Track" signals.

13. Data Security

We implement industry-standard measures: TLS/SSL, AES-256 encryption, access controls, security reviews. No method is 100% secure. In the event of a breach, we notify affected users per the Texas Identity Theft Enforcement and Protection Act (Texas Business & Commerce Code § 521.053).
